Date set for Uber London licence renewal court hearing

The controversial minicab app will have their appeal against the non-renewal of their London operators licence heard on the 30th April 2018.

The regulator Transport for London deemed Uber "not fit and proper" to remain operating in the capital back in September. The minicab firm has since lobbied hard against the decision and the appeals process has begun. London Mayor, Sadiq Khan said at a recent monthly questions session that its "my understanding is that it could go on for a number of years."

The LTDA have also submitted an application to be included in the Uber licensing appeal. The application will be heard by the Chief Magistrate on Tuesday 19th December.
