London Bridge was closed to all traffic due to a fourth day of protests by disgruntled taxi drivers in the capital. Buses working in the London Bridge area were forced to divert onto different routes or terminate earlier than scheduled.

The bridge was closed for all of the evening rush hour and is expected to return open at 8pm. A further demonstration led by the driver group ITA is set to take place on Friday with threats of further action already surfacing.

Earlier this week a Transport for London spokesperson said "The law stipulates that operators can continue until any appeals process is exhausted. “We urge the organisers to call the protests off."
