London: Weekly Roads and Events Update
West London Until 05:00 on 10 April there will be various lane closures on Kensington High Street at the junction of Warwick Road and Holland Road. There will also be lane closures on Warwick Road and Holland Road from Monday 12 February until Tuesday 10 April. This is for traffic signal upgrade works. Hammersmith Bridge From Saturday 10 until Sunday 18 February, surveying work will take place on the Hammersmith Bridge as part of refurbishment work to ensure its long term safety and reliability. The bridge will be closed daily from 08:00 until 18:00 as follows: • In both directions from Saturday 10 until Monday 12 February • To northbound traffic only from Tuesday 13 until Friday 16 February The bridge will also be closed in both directions from 08:00 on Saturday 17 until 18:00 on Sunday 18 February. Pancras Road/Goodsway On Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 February between 07:00 and 17:00, there will be a road closure on Goodsway and a partial road closure of Pancras Road. Pancras Road (King’s Cross Station) taxi rank will be unaffected; however, access and egress will be via Euston Road only.Â
Wembley From 09:30 until 16:30 on Saturday 10 February roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. This is due to a Premier League Football match. Twickenham From 13:30 until 21:00 on Saturday 10 February, roads in the area will be busier than usual, including A316 Chertsey Road, all roads leading to Twickenham station, and around the stadium. This is for Six Nations rugby. London Road, Whitton Road and Rugby Road will be closed before and after the match. Holborn From 09:30 until 12:30 on Sunday 11 February, there will be short traffic holds in place along Lincoln’s Inn Fields, Sardinia Street, Kingsway, Aldwych and the Strand. This is due to a procession. O2 Arena • Saturday 10 February between 14:30 and 22:30 for Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour 2018 (capacity 15,000) • Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 February between 14:30 and 19:30 for Kendrick Lamar (capacity 15,000 each night) • Wednesday 14 February between 18:30 and 22:30 for MTV Unplugged: An Acoustic Evening with A-ha (capacity 15,000) Excel Arena • Friday 16 until Sunday 18 February between 10:00 and 18:00 for The Classic Car Show (capacity 100,000) • Friday 16 until Sunday 18 February between 10:00 and 18:00 for MCN London Motorcycle Show (capacity 115,000)Â
