South African Taxify driver "exposes himself" to customer


Ride-hailing app, Taxify, are facing allegations that one of their drivers made sexual advances to a passenger whilst on a journey in Table View, Cape Town, on Sunday when a video clip emerged across social media. The driver, who has been accused of sexual harassment was filmed by the female passenger who was left confused and afraid. The driver was said to of initially made comments about how nice he thought her lips looked, but went on to allegedly ask if she would like to see his penis. News24 reported a statement made by Taxify Operations Manager, Sinako Cetyiwe, which reads: "Taxify will keep working hard to give safe and affordable means of transportation to the people of South Africa, and we take it very seriously if the platform is misused" It's believed that the driver in question is no longer driving on the Taxify platform.
