London: TfL roads and events updates

Waterloo Station Until 20:00 on Sunday 25 March, Station Approach Road will be closed to all vehicles. This is for a crane operation. Taxis to use Spur Road for access and egress to the taxi rank. Blackwall Tunnel bus lanes Taxis can use the southbound Blackwall Tunnel bus lane between 9pm and 5am. Taxis cannot use the northbound Blackwall Tunnel bus lane. 

West London From 12:00 until 19:00 on Friday 23 March, there will be short traffic holds and restrictions between Putney Bridge and Chiswick Bridge. Hammersmith Bridge will be closed between 16:00 and 18:00. This is due to the Boat Race. Hounslow From 11:00 until 18:00 on Sunday 25 March, there will be road closures and traffic holds on the following roads: Hibernia Road, Staines Road, Wellington Road North, Bath Road, Martindale Road, Wellington Road South northbound, Bath Road eastbound from the A4, and Staines Road eastbound from Green Lanes. This is for a procession. International Football From 17:00 until 23:59 on Tuesday 27 March, roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. Premiership Rugby Match From 12:00 until 19:00 on Saturday 24 March, Westfield Avenue, Loop Road, and Montfichet Road will be closed. London Landmarks Half Marathon From 02:30 until 18:00 on Sunday 25 March, there will be phased road closures on the following roads: Pall Mall East, Holborn and Kingsway in the north, Tower Hill in the east, Victoria Embankment in the south, and Pall Mall and Whitehall in the west. Waterloo Bridge will be closed, however traffic of a suitable height will still able to use the Strand Underpass, except between 08:50 and 11:30. London Bridge will also be closed northbound to all traffic between 07:00 and 14:30. All roads should reopen by 15:15 except Pall Mall East and Whitehall, which will reopen by 18:00. A number of taxi ranks will be affected:

• High Holborn (Waterhouse Court) • Strand (Clement Danes Church) • Strand (opposite Australia House) • Strand (Charing Cross Station feeder rank) • Exeter Street (Strand Palace Hotel) • Aldwych (R0001) • Aldwych (Waldorf Hotel) • Aldwych (One Aldwych Hotel) • Aldwych (ME Hotel) • Temple Place • Embankment Place • St. James’ Square (In and Out Club) • St. James’ Square (East India Club) • Whitehall Hall Place (Corinthia Hotel) O2 Arena • Tuesday 27 March between 18:30 and 22:45 for 30 Seconds to Mars (capacity 15,000) • Saturday 31 March between 18:30 and 22:30 for Fall Out Boy (capacity 15,000)
