TfL extends Wheely’s London licence for further five years

Private hire firm Wheely have had their operators licence extended by five years much to the delight of their CEO and Founder Anton Chirkunov.
According to the Mr Chirkunov, Wheely filed our 35-page license application on the 15th of February 2018 and paid an upfront £30k application fee.
Six weeks later, after three days of inspections, Transport for London requested the first installment of the operators fee, £24k for the first year, to be paid a few hours before the long Easter weekend and then extended their operators licence until 2023.
Anton Chirkunov goes on to say “This is a major win for us considering that Uber is in court over its license renewal and other ride-hailing apps are stuck in the application process.
“Having successfully overcome this regulatory challenge, we can now focus our efforts on building a safer and higher quality alternative to UberEXEC in London over the coming years.”
