Taxi Charity sponsors a brick at Fulham Palace restoration

Perry Richardson

Last week the Taxi Charity visited Fulham Palace to sponsor a brick at a palace restoration event.

Lee Copeland, who is a volunteer at Fulham Palace, sponsored a brick on behalf of the  Taxi Charity as part of the restoration work at the palace.

Taxi Charity committee members, Graham Pike and Ian Parsons, were accompanied by Chelsea Pensioners, Mike Smith, Dave Lines, Ken McDonald and Bill Posnett.

Lee Copeland gave the charity representatives a brief history of Fulham Palace and visited all the craft tables in the courtyard.

Following 18 months of preparation and planning, construction works have begun on the site of the beautiful Tudor palace. Scaffolding at the main entrance has now been erected and a shroud has been placed over it to imitate the front facade of the Palace.
