Taxi rank attacker jailed for eight years

A 25 year old man has been given an eight year jail sentence for the assault of two men at a taxi rank in Cambridge in September 2017. Pouria Sadjadi knocked a 50 year old man unconscious with a single punch after an altercation at a taxi rank in the early hours of the 16th September 2017, causing severe head injuries which the victim is still recovering from. Sadjadi also knocked out a 41 year old man who had come to the aid of his friend. He was also treated for serious head injuries.

Sadjadi pleaded guilty to ABH(actual bodily harm) on the 41 year old man and was found guilty of GBH(grievous bodily harm) on his 51 year old victim. Detective Constable Sean Denby said that the sentence reflects how seriously violence is taken by the courts, itv news reported.
