Worboys to make another bid for parole

Its been revealed that John Woboys is to make a new bid to obtain his freedom.

Worboys, 61, is hoping to win parole after meeting with his lawyers. The hearing will be later this year.

The application is the latest attempt by Worboys to win his freedom after an initial parole decision to release him was overturned by three senior judges earlier this year.

Parole board chairman, Nick Hardwick,  was subsequently sacked from his position on the back of the case, with the Justice Secretary stating that Hardwicks position had become untenable.

Worboys, has already served over 10 years for rape and sexual assault.
