London: Weekly TfL roads and events update
Brixton Until 03:00 on Sunday 17 June, there will be lane closures on Brixton Road at the Southey Road junction, due to gas main replacement works. Gunnersbury From 09:00 on Monday 4 June until 09:00 on Tuesday 5 June, traffic will be reduced to two lanes on A406 Gunnersbury Avenue. This is due to work on Power Road Bridge.

Thursday 31 May Birdcage Walk and Horse Guards Road will close from 16:00 until 21:00, due to this annual ceremonial event held upon Horse Guards Parade Ground between 19:30 and 20:20 O2 Arena music concert - Thursday 31 May • Between 18:30 and 22:30 for Bryan Adams (capacity 15,000) Music festivals (Field Day & Mighty Hoopla), Brockwell Park
Friday 1 to Sunday 3 June • Field Day takes place on Friday from 13:00 until 23:00, with a capacity of 20,000, and from 11:30 until 23:00 on Saturday, with a capacity of 32,000 • Mighty Hoopla takes place on Sunday from 12:00 until 22:00, with a capacity of 20,000 • To facilitate the egress, Brixton Water Lane and Morval Road will close and there will be traffic management at the Herne Hill/Dulwich Road/Norwood Road junction from 22:00 until 23:00 on Friday, 21:30 until 23:30 on Saturday, and 21:30 until 22:30 on Sunday • The taxi and PHV drop off/pick up location will be at Milkwood Road (SE24 0HA) • There will be restrictions and closures in place on the following roads: Masey Mews, Bailey Mews, Tralawn Road, Brixton Water Lane, Arlingford Road, Brailsford Road, Railton Road, Rymer Street, Dulwich Road, Carver Road, Winterbrook Road, Stradella Road and Brockwell Park Gardens. There will also be increased pedestrians in the Brixton area All Points East music festival Victoria Park
Friday 1 to Sunday 3 June – which will be marshalled • Up to 40,000 are expected at this event • A marshalled taxi rank and PHV pick up area will be in operation at Royal Gate West (Victoria Park). Access is via Gore Rd (from Victoria Park Road). Grove Road and part of Old Ford Road will be closed as part of the event road closure. Suburban drivers licenced for Newham and/or Hackney extension can use the taxi rank • To facilitate crowds at egress, from 21:00 (Friday and Saturday) and 20:30 (Sunday), Grove Road will close between Victoria Park Road and Roman Road; and Old Ford Road will close between St Stephen’s Road and Bonner Street. From 21:00 the Grove Road/Roman Road junction will be under manual control. Traffic and transport in the area may experience delays • The event taxi rank will be in operation at Royal Gate West (Victoria Park) London Sevens rugby, Twickenham
Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 June • From 09:30 until 20:30 both days, all roads leading to Twickenham station and around the stadium will be busier than usual, including Chertsey Road. London Road, Whitton Road and Rugby Road will be closed Colonel’s Review (Trooping the Colour), Westminster
Saturday 2 June • Annual ceremonial event held on Horse Guards Parade between 10:00 and 13:00 • Constitution Hill, Spur Road, The Mall, Admiralty Arch, Marlborough Road, Birdcage Walk and Great George Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 06:00 to enable the installation of security measures • At 09:10 and 13:00 there will also be short closures on Buckingham Palace Road northbound at the junction of Bressenden Place, Buckingham Gate, and Palace Street International football, Wembley
Saturday 2 June • A friendly football match between England and Nigeria will kick off at 17:15 • Higher than usual numbers of pedestrians to be anticipated in the Wembley area • From 14:00 until 23:00, roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, A1, A40, Harrow Road, Wembley High Road and roads surrounding the stadium Anniversary of the London Bridge and Borough Market terror attacks
Sunday 3 June • From approximately 15:30 until 17:00, London Bridge and the following approach roads will be closed: Borough High Street northbound from Marshalsea Street, Southwark Street eastbound from Southwark Bridge Road, Tooley Street westbound and Bishopsgate southbound at London Wall.
