Council bosses make U-turn on England flag ban on Taxi's

Following Barrow council's highly controversial decision to ban England flags from all taxi's and private hire vehicles during the World Cup, bosses have now decided to allow drivers to display their support for the nations football team. Pressure by taxi drivers who slammed the ban eventually took its toll on council bosses who they branded "unpatriotic". Taxi and private hire representatives said they had never known flags to of caused any such safety issues which were being claimed by the council, and all drivers want to do is show their support during a tournament that only comes around every four years. As reported in the Mail, nwemail , councillor Tony Callister said taxi drivers should be mindful of not putting anything on their vehicle which could obscure their vision and put the public at risk.
