Cambridge taxi driver under investigation for “Islamophopic” Facebook posts

A taxi driver from Cambridge is under investigation after posts on his Facebook account were branded Islamophobic.

Cambridge City Council have confirmed that they are aware of the images found and are currently looking into whether the taxi driver, Mark Joyce, is “fit and proper” to hold a hackney carriage licence. Mr Joyce is alleged to have had a Facebook account and posted offensive images against Muslims between 2015 and 2017. The driver has distanced himself from all seven accusations claiming his social media account was hacked. However, according Cambridge Live , Mr Joyce was seen in a photograph holding signage saying “I am not Muslim British and proud’.
