Uber driver acquitted of terror attack

Steve Kenton

It has just been revealed by  tha Sky News that an Uber driver who attacked police with a samurai sword outside Buckingham Palace has been acquitted.

27 year old Mohiussunnath Chowdhury from Luton, Bedfordshire, had attacked three police officers on August 25 2018. The jury had spent over 11 hours deliberating before coming to a verdict in a retrial at the Old Bailey.

Last week TaxiPoint reported that the Old Bailey heard how Chowdhury, drove his blue Toyota Prius through traffic cones at a marked police van and reached for the sword, before being sprayed with CS gas and arrested.

The Old Bailey also heard last week how he was repeatedly shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ during a scuffle with two officers outside the royal residence at Constitution Hill.
