Police hunt Shoreham cabbie attacker
Police are appealing for help in apprehending an attacker who assaulted a taxi driver.
The assault took place at approximately 12.30am on Sunday, December 9, in Clarendon Road, and left the driver with facial injuries and bruising to his body.
The driver was subsequently taken to hospital and later discharged.
Police are keen to talk to anyvody in the area who may have seen or heard the assault.
A Police spokesman has said that a 28-year-old man from Shoreham was arrested on suspicion of racially or religiously aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm and racially or religiously aggravated criminal damage, along with a 25-year-old woman, also from Shoreham, who was arrested on suspicion of wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent, police said.
Both have been releases whilst the investigation into the attack continues.
