Police find man dead inside black cab parked on West Yorkshire lay-by

A man has been found dead inside a taxi on Saddleworth Moor.  

The taxi was found by police in a lay-by near Dovestone Reservoir on Friday, 15 February after recieving a call at approximately 9:08 am.

The unnamed man was found inside the taxi and was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unknown at this stage whether the man found was the owner of the vehicle.

A police investigation was subsequently launched and the area around the cab cordoned off. 

A police spokesperson said via a statement "Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances but the matter is not believed to be suspicious. A file will be prepared for the coroner."
