Teen gets suspended sentence after cabbie assault

A teenager has received a suspended prison sentence after admitting assaulting a cabbie.
18 year old Alexander Tighe, from Linnhe Avenue, Woodside in Bradford, attacked the cabbie after a fare dispute.
The Telegraph and Argus reported that Tighe, who was 17 at the time of the attack, repeatedly kicked Mohammed Uddin on September 24 of last year.
Bradford Crown Court heard how Tighe, who had been picked up along with his mother by Mr Uddin at approximately 1am by Odsal roundabout, lost his temper when the cabbie told him the cost of the fare, and subsequently kicked the cabbie in the ribs several times.
Tighe was given an eight-month suspended sentence and ordered to complete 150 hours of community work after admitting assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
