Wiltshire Police investigate a robbery and assault on taxi driver in Wilton


Wiltshire Police are investigating a robbery on a taxi driver which took place in the early hours of Saturday 16 March 2019 in Wilton. At around 1 am, the taxi driver was flagged down in St Andrews Close at the junction of Bulbridge Road by a woman.

The woman distracted the driver enabling a man to approach the car. The man assaulted the victim and demanded that he hand over cash before they both ran off towards Randall Croft Road.

The victim sustained a small injury to his neck in the incident. The woman was described as white, mid-late 20's, petite and was wearing a brown/green cagoule. The man was described as white, also aged in his mid to late 20's, approximately 6ft tall. He was wearing a padded jacket, jeans and white trainers. Searches were conducted in the area and further enquiries are currently ongoing.
