Police hunt man after cabbie assaulted in North Yorkshire

Police in North Yorkshire are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was attacked in Richmond.

The assault happened on Newbiggin at 2.15am on Monday, 1 April and involved a taxi driver being assaulted. Police are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "In particular, we are appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the incident and the people involved." The spokesperson added: "anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for Michael Smith or email michael.smith0006@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk quoting reference number 12190058116."
