Coventry student killed in collision with cab is named by police
Police have named a student who was killed after being in collision with a cab in Coventry.
22 year old Mohammed Mohiuddin, from London, was a first year law student at the University of Warwick.
Mohammed, who was known as Sami to his friends, was struck by a cab on Kenilworth Road in Leamington in the early hours of April 24.
Maaya Sachdev, president of the Warwick Law Society, said: "When I think of Sami I will remember his kind nature, style and charisma. He will be greatly missed and our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.”
A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police said: A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: "At around 2.45am, a collision took place between a white Peugeot taxi and a pedestrian on Kenilworth Road, near to Leamington Rugby Club.
"The pedestrian, a man in his 20s, sustained serious injuries and was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information to contact Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 42 of April 24.
