A London Uber driver has been found guilty of inciting prostitution for gain, running a brothel and money laundering, KentOnline first reported. 41-year-old Romanian Mario Nicolae, of Hendon, North West London, ran his illegal business from Dartford, Kent, between April 2017 and September 2018.

Prosecutor Tom Dunn told Maidstone Crown Court that Nicolae's business was a "commercial enterprise." One in which he helped sex workers set up their work, organised telephones and also assisted in what was described as a "very sophisticated on-line advertising" campaign. But he added that there was no evidence the women had been coerced and they had "sought him out". Nicolae was granted bail and will now face sentencing in September after the preparation of a probation report.
