Taxi driver tragically dies after colliding with a wall in Northumbria

A taxi driver has tragically died after crashing into a wall on a rural Northumberland road. The incident, which is currently under investigation, happened on Tuesday 9 July. Police were called to the scene of the collision at around 1.30pm.
On arrival, they found that a taxi had crashed into a wall in the Greensyke area. Paramedics arrived at the location, where they found a man, believed to be in his 50s, dead at the scene. According to a report in the Chronicle Live, the taxi had been travelling between the Clattering Causeway road and Plenmeller village in Northumberland at the time. The man has not been formally identified yet but his family are currently being informed. They are also being supported by specialist officers. Police are eager to hear from anyone who may be able to assist with their ongoing investigation.
