Cab office workers get an eyeful as drunk party goer strips down to her underwear in the pouring rai
Drivers at a local minicab firm in Blackburn were left shocked when a drunk woman stripped off outside their booking office and then assaulted a police officer. Blackburn magistrates heard how Eden Barnes took her clothes off, revealing her underwear after a night out drinking.
Barnes, 20, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly and assaulting a police officer.
As reported in the Lancashire Telegraph, Barnes was made subject to a community order for 12 months with 30 hours attendance centre condition and 60 hours unpaid work.
She was also ordered to pay the police officer £100 compensation. The court heard how police were called to a disturbance outside City Cars cab office in Cardwell Place at around 3.30am.
Andy Robinson, prosecuting, said the police were informed that the female was removing her clothes and behaving aggressively. The magistrates heard that during the arrest, the officer struggled to get hold of her because her body was too slippery from the rain which was pouring down. Eventually Barnes was placed in the back of a police van and taken to Greenbank police station. Mr Robinson said: "When the officer opened the back doors she was lying on her back and kicked out making contact with the officers head." The court was told Barnes didn't drink often but when she did it was to excess.
