Taxi passengers forced to pin down motorist after Bolton crash

A three vehicle crash which included a taxi ended up with the taxi passengers being forced to pin down one of the car drivers.
Emergency services attended the scene of the crash which took place at a mini roundabout in Smithills.
It was alleged that the taxi passengers, as well as other members of the public, had to pin down a male driver who attempted to flee from the scene of the crash, which happened on 21 July.
Police and the fire service were called to the crash site on Church Road at the junction with Captains Clough Road, at around 10.30pm.
