Councillors refuse to reinstate cabbie's licence after inappropriate comments made to passengers

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) council officials have refused to reinstate the licence of a cabbie after an allegation of inappropriate comments made to passengers.
It is believed that the driver had made comments of a sexual nature, prompting the council to reject his renewal application.
According to the Daily Echo, the driver's licence was not renewed on the grounds that it couldn't be demonstrated that he was a "fit and proper" person.
The unnamed driver had his bid to renew his licence rejected in July, but details have only just emerged.
Despite written and verbal evidence presented by the sub-committee, the driver insisted that he had done nothing wrong.
