Jeremy Clarkson tells Sadiq Khan to “f*** off” and brands him “deranged” over Holland Park cycle lan
Jeremy Clarkson has slammed Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, over his proposals to install a cycle lane in Holland Park.
In a video on his Drive Tribe YouTube channel entitled "A Cup of Tea With Clarkson", the Grand Tour host talks about cycling in London.
Clarkson, who is sitting in a cafe in leafy Holland Park explains that the Mayor is planning to rip out the trees in Holland Park and replace them with a cycle lane. He then says: "Well he can f*** off, the man's obviously deranged, you can't pull trees down so that people can cycle."
59-year-old Clarkson then added: "I know that cycle lanes are seen as the single most important thing in the world by those lunatics with five hard bananas and a little go-pro on their head, but they're not, they can f*** off."
During the video he explains how he saw an ambulance stuck in traffic, because a lane has been taken away for the construction of a cycle lane, which resulted in a traffic jam.
In the video he then ponders the apparent absurdity of various aspects of travel across London, before talking about the £42m cost of the 4 mile cycle lane.
Finally the presenter praised Kensington and Chelsea Council for telling Transport for London to "f*** off" when they rejected TfL's cycle lane proposals, before musing about global warming.
