Three teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of robbery after a taxi driver had his takings stolen in Newcastle-under-Lyme on Thursday night. A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said via Facebook: “Officers were called to Tynwald Grange in Newcastle-under-Lyme at around 10.45pm after reports the taxi driver had been robbed.
“Following an area search, supported by police dogs, three arrests were made. “A 17-year-old male from Stoke was arrested on suspicion of robbery. Two boys, aged 14 and 15, from Newcastle, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of cannabis.”
