Swindon fleet acquisition boost for private hire firm V Cars

Regional private hire vehicle operator, V Cars, which has operations in Bath, Bristol, Chippenham and Swindon, has increased the capacity of its Swindon-based fleet by a third through the acquisition of local firm United Radio Cars. The deal to purchase United Radio Cars, formed in 1999, makes V Cars the No.1 private hire company in Swindon, with almost 400 partner-driver numbers delivering nearly 1 million journeys per year.

V Cars is owned by the technology focused passenger services group, Veezu, which acquired the business in July 2017. The group has three other major service hubs throughout the UK, each operating under established local brands – Dragon Taxis in South Wales, A2B Radio Cars in the West Midlands and Amber Cars in Leeds.
