Bizarre Uber journey captured showing passengers holding a LADDER outside of the window
An alleged Uber vehicle was captured on video driving with passengers holding a LADDER outside the window last week. The footage shows two passengers inside a Silver Honda private hire vehicle. One of the passengers sat in the front whilst the second sat in the rear, both holding the large ladder outside of the window as they drove the streets of Walsall.
The bizarre journey was caught by Mark Calver-Wilkes, who uploaded the video to his Facebook account with the caption "Only in Walsall no roof rack no problem".
According to Birmingham Live, a Walsall Council spokesperson responded to the footage, saying: “The safety of passengers and other road users is of the highest priority to Walsall Council.
"All licensed private hire drivers undergo a practical driving assessment and training course before their licence is granted. “Community protection officers will be speaking to the proprietor and driver of this vehicle about the matter before considering what action to take.” Uber have announced they are “currently looking into this incident”.
