New Chinese-UK liaison desk opens at LEVC to strengthen business relations

A new Chinese-UK liaison desk has opened at London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC) in a bid to strengthen business relations.
Officials from the electric taxi manufacturer say business relations between the Chinese region of Hangzhou and the UK will strengthen with the establishment of the vital new contact point in the West Midlands.
Located within the firm’s head office and manufacturing facility in Ansty, Coventry, the hub has been opened by the Vice Mayor of Hangzhou, Hu Wei.
The Vice Mayor’s visit to LEVC was part of a wider agenda to encourage UK investment in the Hangzhou region of China
Joerg Hofmann, LEVC CEO, said: “Thanks to the vision of Geely Chairman Li Shifu, the London EV Company has been reborn into a global leader in zero emissions mobility. Our relationship with Geely’s home region of Hangzhou region goes from strength to strength and I am absolutely delighted to welcome Hu Wei, Vice Mayor of Hangzhou, to our state-of-the-art Ansty facility.
“With the establishment of this new liaison desk, a door has been further opened to new opportunity, not just for LEVC but for UK businesses keen to work more closely with the Hangzhou region.”
