Essex Police hunt two men after taxi driver attacked in Rochford
Detectives at Southend CID are appealing for witnesses after a taxi driver was assaulted in Rochford last week.
Police were called by members of the ambulance service at around 12.30am on Friday 20 September, after a report that a taxi driver had been assaulted.
It was reported that the driver picked up two men from outside Rendezvous Casino in Southend shortly after midnight and drove them to North Street in Rochford.
One of the men got out of the car and assaulted the driver before both of them left without paying for the journey.
The men were described as white, aged between 30 and 40, with one of the men wearing a white jacket.
