A woman in Edinburgh was taken to hospital after ‘falling out of a taxi backwards’



A woman in Edinburgh has been taken to the hospital after falling out of a taxi backwards in front of the Playhouse theatre.


The incident happened on Greenside Place at 10.15pm on Saturday 13 May. The Scottish Ambulance Service were called to the scene and dispatched an ambulance to transport the patient to the hospital.

In addition, Police Scotland also provided assistance by attending the scene of the incident.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: "We received a call to attend an incident at Greenside Place in Edinburgh on Saturday. We dispatched one ambulance to the scene and transported one female patient to the hospital.”


According to an Edinburgh Live witness, the woman "fell backwards from a taxi" at the busy city centre location.
