Acorn Insurance has hosted a series of taxi-focused open days at its Manchester and East London branches, inviting taxi drivers and customers to meet staff and discuss issues affecting the trade.

The events were designed to provide an opportunity for face-to-face conversations between taxi professionals and Acorn’s branch teams, allowing drivers to share feedback and discuss their experiences directly with the insurer.

In a statement shared on social media, Acorn said the open days enabled staff to have “meaningful conversations, listen to feedback and show our appreciation for the vital role taxi drivers play in keeping communities connected every day”.

The insurer thanked those who attended the sessions, describing the events as a chance to meet customers and local taxi professionals in person. Acorn said it was “fantastic to meet so many of our customers and local taxi professionals”.

Taxi insurance providers often maintain close links with drivers through branch networks and industry engagement events, which can help firms better understand market challenges ranging from rising operating costs and vehicle investment to insurance affordability.

Acorn said it remains committed to supporting the taxi sector, adding: “We’re proud to support the people who keep our communities moving.”
