Addison Lee minicab on wrong side of road swerves to miss pedestrian crossing in London

Footage of an Addison Lee minicab driving on the wrong side of the road closely swerving a pedestrian crossing was posted on social media.

The video was shared on Twitter by a licensed taxi driver and showed the minicab travelling along central London’s South Carriage Drive in Hyde Park.

The 14-second clip shows a black Ford Galaxy displaying Addison Lee signage in the rear window trying to overtake moving traffic heading west away from the busy Winter Wonderland event currently taking place in the park.

The minicab then drives through a lane reserved for eastbound traffic wishing to turn right, before slowing quickly and forcing themselves into the correct lane to avoid an adult with a pushchair waiting to cross the road.

Addison Lee responded to the footage on social media saying: “Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I will ensure that this is forwarded to our driver management team for review.”
