CMAC Group has partnered with iCoupon to expand the ground transportation options available to airlines managing passenger disruption.

The Accrington-based company has been appointed as a transportation partner for iCoupon Rides, a service already used by global airlines to arrange flexible transport for passengers affected by delays, cancellations and other operational issues.

The partnership will allow airlines using iCoupon Rides to access CMAC’s supplier network through a single integration. CMAC will provide access to transportation providers covering taxis, private hire vehicles, executive transport and coaches across multiple locations.

Passengers will be able to arrange onward transport through RideLinks, powered by CMAC and generated via iCoupon. The service does not require passengers to download an app or create an account, while airlines retain visibility of journeys from pick-up to drop-off.

CMAC said the system is intended to help airlines support passenger welfare and meet regulatory requirements during disruption, while reducing the operational complexity involved in sourcing and coordinating ground transportation.

Ashley Seed, Chief Commercial Officer at CMAC Group, said: “When disruption occurs, airlines need partners that can respond quickly, consistently and at scale. Through this partnership, airlines can access CMAC’s extensive global network of ground transportation partners directly within the iCoupon platform.

“By combining CMAC’s proven technology, supplier network and 24/7 operational expertise with iCoupon’s digital passenger care solutions, we’re making it easier for airlines to arrange onward travel, maintain service standards and support passengers when they need it most. Together, we’re helping carriers reduce operational complexity while delivering a better airline passenger experience during disruption.”

Richard Bye, Chief Executive Officer at iCoupon, said: “Ground transportation is an important part of passenger recovery, and CMAC was a natural partner for iCoupon Rides because of its proven expertise in the aviation sector, extensive transportation network and ability to deliver services consistently across multiple locations.

“Together, we can give airlines another way to access CMAC’s trusted ground transportation capabilities during disruption, while providing the visibility and flexibility needed to support passengers throughout their onward journey.”
