A KILO of suspected Heroin was recovered by police from a Sefton private hire vehicle spotted acting suspiciously.

Two men occupying the vehicle were arrested by Sefton Police officers on Monday 21 March for Drug Supply offences.

Police also carried out further searches at the men's addresses where police recovered large quantities of cash and cannabis they believe is linked to the proceeds of crime.

A Sefton Police spokesperson said: “Operation Pelican have this evening arrested a 20-year-old male and a 41-year-old male both from Southport for Drug Supply Offences.

“Officers sighted a private hire vehicle in suspicious circumstances in the Bootle area before then carrying out a stop check in Netherton.
