Arsenal-supporting taxi driver meets Thierry Henry at charity gala supported by Freenow By Lyft

Freenow by Lyft provided transport for this year’s Legends of Football charity gala at Grosvenor House in London, supporting an event that raised funds for music therapy charity Nordoff and Robbins.
The company said it was the gala’s Official Transport Partner. Its team managed dedicated taxi ranks, arranged rides for VIP guests and offered exclusive vouchers to attendees.
The event celebrated football figures Thierry Henry and Karen Carney. Funds raised went to Nordoff and Robbins, a UK charity that uses music therapy to support people facing illness, disability or social isolation.
One of the evening’s highlights for Freenow was a surprise for its driver Andy, described by the company as a lifelong Arsenal fan. He met former Arsenal striker Henry, who signed a shirt for him.
Freenow said its drivers and operations team helped guests travel to and from the venue. It thanked staff and drivers who supported the event and helped attendees get home safely.
Danny O’Gorman is Freenow by Lyft’s General Manager for the UK and Ireland, said: “As a football fan, I am delighted to share that Freenow by Lyft was the Official Transport Partner for this year’s Legends of Football charity gala at Grosvenor House, where footballing icons Thierry Henry and Karen Carney were celebrated and vital funds were raised for UK music therapy charity Nordoff and Robbins.
“As part of the partnership, our team delivered dedicated taxi ranks, VIP ride coverage, and exclusive attendee vouchers.
“Beyond the logistics, the absolute highlight of the night was creating a special moment for one of our driver partners, Andy. A lifelong Arsenal fan, Andy got the chance to meet Thierry Henry in person and get his shirt signed!
“A massive thank you to everyone behind the scenes and our brilliant drivers who ensured everyone got home safely.”
