Manchester-based taxi dispatch technology provider Autocab has announced a major partnership with zTrip, the largest taxi fleet operator in the United States. The agreement will see Autocab’s platform rolled out across 3,600 vehicles in 40 cities and 20 states.
The first phase of the project has gone live in Las Vegas, where zTrip recently expanded operations with more than 500 vehicles. The technology integration will continue across key cities before being introduced throughout zTrip’s full network.
Autocab’s market-leading booking and dispatch software brings together a range of tools designed to streamline operations for both drivers and passengers. Features include passenger and driver apps, automated call handling, an accounts portal, and analytics to help operators monitor performance and demand trends.
According to zTrip, the Las Vegas launch was the smoothest technology rollout the company has ever completed. Early feedback has highlighted the reliability of the system and its positive impact on dispatch efficiency, with further gains expected as more vehicles come online.
The partnership marks another significant international step for Autocab, which continues to expand its presence beyond the UK. The firm’s technology is already used by hundreds of operators worldwide to manage bookings and improve journey delivery.
For zTrip, the move represents an investment in next-generation mobility technology to support the company’s growth and modernise its service. The operator’s scale makes it a key player in the US taxi industry, providing essential transport links in both large and mid-sized cities.
Both companies have indicated that the collaboration will continue to evolve, with new system integrations and functionality planned to enhance both customer experience and fleet management capabilities.
Safa Alkateb, chief executive of Autocab, said: “zTrip searched all over the world for their next partner and selected Autocab because we’re the leading supplier for this highly scalable technology.
“Autocab, which has customers in 33 countries, is already the trusted supplier to some of the world’s largest taxi companies, and this landmark partnership with zTrip further demonstrates the strength and scalability of our technology. By powering fleets across the US and North America at this scale, we’re helping drivers boost their earnings and operators improve efficiency, setting a new standard for the industry.”
Bill George, founder of WHC Worldwide, parent company of zTrip, said: “After an extensive review of the world’s leading taxi dispatch technology providers, we selected Autocab because its technology clearly stands out as the best.
“Autocab’s software is a true game-changer for our fleets. It will drive higher revenue by enabling drivers to operate more efficiently and maximise their earning potential.
“We’re working hand in hand with the Autocab team to ensure a smooth, phased rollout of the platform and we’re very pleased with the progress so far.”
