Bromsgrove taxi drivers get free electric vehicle rapid charging for a year with GeniePoint
Taxi drivers in Bromsgrove will be able to benefit from free electric vehicle charging for a year as 13 brand new contactless GeniePoint rapid charges from Engie EV Solutions are installed.
A spokesperson for GeniePoint said: “We’re excited to be powering up the first of 13 contactless GeniePoint rapid chargers in Bromsgrove as part of a partnership with Bromsgrove District Council to keep EV drivers moving locally.
“Plus, if you’re a local taxi driver, you’ll be able to charge for free for the first year and access great discounts for the next 9 years.”
The GeniePoint Network chargers will provide 100% renewable energy and will offer the latest in EV charging technology. Drivers can access and pay for GeniePoint chargers by RFID card or via the GeniePoint app, available from the App Store or Google Play.
ENGIE is continuing the rollout of local, electric vehicle charging across the country to keep up with the ever-increasing demand by EV drivers, the company has said. Through this rollout, it aims to support individuals, local businesses and national fleets in reducing their carbon output.
