Cab driver arrested for drink driving by police in Bury as he was picking up passengers



A cab driver has been arrested for drink driving after officers noticed he was driving erratically.


The incident which happened in Bury, Greater Manchester, was highlighted by the force on social media.

A spokesperson for the police, said: "Officers spot a taxi driving erratically, then stumble out his cab to collect passengers. Officers intercept & conduct a roadside alcohol breath test which the driver failed.


"Driver arrested & blew 77 in custody! Oh, & taxi licensing notified."

The police have not confirmed if the driver arrested holds a hackney carriage taxi licence, a private hire driver's licence or a duel licence.
