Cab driver using mobile phone slapped with fine and 6 penalty points

A cab driver was slapped with a fine and penalty points after being found to be driving whilst on the phone.
The blue Skoda Octavia cab was pulled over in Colne and the driver was still talking on the mobile device when the police made the stop.
The taxi driver was subsequently handed six points to his driver's licence, a £200 fine and a referral to the relevant taxi licensing authority.
Lancashire Road Police said via social media: “Taxi driver in Colne stopped for driving whilst on his mobile.
“In fact when he was stopped he was still speaking on it and was 10mins into a conversation.
“6 points, £200 and referral to taxi licencing officer at the council.”
