Cab office set on fire after suspect had an altercation with one of the firm’s drivers


British Transport Police is today appealing for witnesses after an incident of arson at Twyford railway station.


The incident happened at around 10pm on Sunday 5 July.

It is reported a man was involved in an altercation with a cab driver outside Twyford railway station.


The man then walked behind a small building attached to the station, which is occupied by a local private hire firm.

He reappears moments later and walks towards the railway station. After he has left, the building is seen on fire.


The fire service was called and arrived to extinguish the fire.


Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident. Anyone who has information which may help their investigation is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40.
