A taxi driver is likely to face his licensing authority after officers caught him speeding with passengers on board.

Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit (BCHRPU) pulled the driver over in Welwyn Garden City, after they clocked him speeding at 52mph in a 30mph zone.

Taking to social media to highlight the incident, BCH Road Policing Unit, tweeted: "RP32 - Welwyn Garden City, this taxi driver was in a rush to drop off his fare.

"I don't think they'd be so impressed if he crashed at such a speed. Driver reported and taxi licensing will be informed."
