Cabbie faces licensing action after dashcam footage finds driver guilty of driving without due care

A south west taxi driver could face licensing action after dashcam footage submitted found a cabbie guilty for driving without due care.
The cabbie was captured running down the inside lane marked to turn left, only to turn right and then colliding with a motorcycle.
The incident wasn’t reported, by either party involved in the collision, but a member of the public submitted the footage prompting Avon and Somerset Police to take action.
The driver pleaded guilty of the offence at court and was handed six points on their licence. There were also fines and costs amounting to £778 to be paid and now the threat of licensing action from the driver's authority.
A spokesperson from Avon and Somerset Police Roads Policing Unit said: “Driver cut down the inside lane to turn left, only turned right straight into a motorcyclist.
“Road Traffic Collision (RTC) not reported to police but this dashcam was! They pleaded guilty at court equals driving WDC (Without Due Care).
“Taxi driver referred to council regarding their licence!”
