Police investigating an assault on a taxi driver in Nottingham have released images of two people they would like to speak to.

According to police sources, the taxi driver was punched several times following a dispute over a fare after dropping off a group in Upper Parliament Street, Nottingham.

A sum of cash was then taken from the taxi.

Detective Sergeant Jon Kerry, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Attacking a taxi driver is totally unacceptable and we are doing all we can to track down those involved.

“We are releasing these CCTV images in the hope that somebody may recognise them.

“If you know who they are please get in contact with us as soon as possible by calling 101 and quoting incident 836 of 21 January 2022.”
