Care home names "care suite" in honour of local minicab firm who showed support during the pandemic

HC-One’s Douglas View care home in Hamilton names its new care suite ‘Wellman’ in honour of local private hire firm, Wellman Cars, as a thank you for their support and kindness throughout the covid-19 pandemic.
Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, the care home says Wellman Cars has provided lots of thoughtful support to them, including offering free taxi journeys for team members, donating a beautiful outdoor Christmas tree and lots of "delicious" Easter eggs for residents.
After the completion of a new care suite within Douglas View, talks began on what the suite should be called. Care Assistant Declan Moody suggested naming the suite Wellman as a special thank you to their generous local firm.
Wellman Cars Owner, Claire, commented: “I’m honoured and ecstatic to be part of this, thank you very much Douglas View.”
Douglas View Home Manager, Louise Fulton, said: “It was amazing to have the opportunity to show our appreciation for everything Wellman has done for us at Douglas View, their community spirit and kindness is an inspiration to us all.”
Located on William Street, Douglas View care home offers short and long term care packages for members of the Hamilton community that require nursing care and nursing memory care for those living with dementia.
The home also boasts a 9.8/10 average user rating on the sector's leading comparison website, carehome.co.uk., as a result of their support and kindness throughout the covid-19 pandemic.
