The City of Wolverhampton's Licensing team took to social media to remind its licensed Private Hire Vehicle (PHV) drivers to exercise caution and adjust their driving in inclement weather conditions. Compliance officers from the team were spotted in a rain-soaked Warrington, conducting thorough checks on licensed vehicles.

With heavy rain affecting the area, the Licensing and Trading Standards team emphasised the importance of adapting driving habits to ensure road safety. The team's presence in Warrington is part of their ongoing efforts to monitor and regulate licensed vehicles working outside of their licensing authority.

Wet weather conditions can significantly impact road conditions, visibility, and vehicle handling. Motorists in general are urged to take extra precautions and follow safety guidelines, such as reducing speed, maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles, and ensuring their vehicles' headlights are visible to other road users.

City of Wolverhampton Licensing and Trading Standards team said via social media: “Compliance Officers are in a very wet Warrington carrying out checks on our licensed vehicles. Make sure that you adjust your driving for the weather conditions.”
