City of Wolverhampton enforcement officers target FIVE regions for taxi and PHV checks in one week
City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC) Licensing officers were out in five different regions this weekend conducting vehicle checks.
One of those areas included Cheltenham during a busy week of horse racing in the region. CWC officers worked with Gloucestershire Constabulary during the Cheltenham Festival.
Other regions targeted for Wolverhampton enforcement checks included Birmingham, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and South Staffordshire. There were also checks for the Wolverhampton area itself.
A CIty of Wolverhampton Council Licensing Standards spokesperson said: “City of Wolverhampton Taxi Licensing Compliance teams have been out and about this weekend in Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and South Staffordshire.
“Please help us to help you by following the attached guidelines
Getting us all home safely.”
The spokesperson also shared photos of checks during the Cheltenham Festival saying: “City of Wolverhampton Taxi compliance officers are out in Cheltenham tonight with our Police colleagues checking our licensed drivers and their vehicles and getting us all back to our stables safely.“
