Curb is expanding its Curb Flow platform to additional demand and technology partners across the UK, United States and Canada following the public launch of the service in London earlier this year.
The mobility technology firm, which provides metered taxi payment systems, dispatch platforms and demand aggregation technology, says the move will allow more taxi fleets and technology providers to connect to its network without replacing their existing dispatch or meter systems. The company is targeting operators and technology suppliers that want to access additional ride demand while continuing to use their current platforms.
The announcement is supported by new operational data from Curb’s partnership with GoRide in Washington DC. According to the company, participating drivers using Curb Flow spend 26% more time on hired trips and complete 16% more hired miles compared with previous performance. Curb also said its nationwide booking volume has quadrupled since 2023.
GoRide, a taxi technology provider in Washington DC, integrated its own system with Curb Flow as a supply partner rather than replacing its existing technology. Through that integration, drivers gained access to ride requests originating from multiple sources connected to the Curb Flow network.
Curb said the platform now accounts for almost half of all trips completed by participating GoRide drivers in Washington DC, with some drivers completing more than 650 trips each month. The company said the partnership demonstrates how technology providers can connect to aggregated demand while continuing to operate their own dispatch infrastructure.
The Curb Flow platform aggregates bookings from several sources, including Curb’s consumer app, Taxi Butler, Uber, HQ and Gridd. Rather than requiring fleets to migrate to a single dispatch system, the platform is designed to connect different technology providers into one marketplace for taxi bookings.
The company said the experience gained through the Washington DC deployment is helping shape its expansion strategy in the UK. Curb Flow first launched in London in March and currently operates with an initial group of supply and demand partners, providing additional booking opportunities for London black cab drivers through a single connected platform.
Dorel Tamam, Vice President of the Mobile Business Unit at Curb, said: “With Curb Flow now live in London, we are opening the network to additional partners, regardless if they run their own system or not. The results show what happens when you remove the barriers to consistent, aggregated demand and supply.”
Ermias Wosenu, CEO and Founder of GoRide, said: “Integrating with Curb Flow gave our drivers access to a significant new source of demand without requiring them to change how they work. The volume of trips through the platform has grown consistently since we launched, and it has been a straightforward way for us to expand what we can offer our drivers.”
