Cyclist in hospital with ‘life-threatening’ injuries following collision with bus and taxi in Manchester.
Greater Manchester Police officers were called to the junction of Booth Street East and Oxford Road on Friday 18 August 2023 at approximately 10.20pm to reports of a collision where a pedal cyclist had been in collision with both a taxi and a bus.
Colleagues from NWAS attended and the 20-year-old male cyclist was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The bus driver was later arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. He has since been released under investigation while police continue with their enquiries.
A GMP spokesperson said: “We are currently investigating this very serious incident and we are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or were in the vicinity of Oxford Road and Booth Street East at 10.20pm last night, to come forward.
