DOCKLANDS DAY OUT: London Taxi Drivers’ Charity for Children treats students to fun days out
Updated: Jul 16, 2023
The London Taxi Drivers’ Charity for Children (LTCFC) has brought smiles to the faces of children from Cubitt Town School and Our Lady & St Joseph Catholic School with exciting outings at the Docklands Sailing and Watersports Centre.
Over two consecutive Mondays in June, the LTCFC organised a series of unforgettable adventures for the lucky youngsters.
Accompanied by a dedicated team of staff members and helpers, the children embarked on a day filled with kayaking and paddle boarding, guided by the experienced instructors at the Docklands centre. The thrilling activities not only provided tremendous enjoyment but also fostered a sense of accomplishment and personal growth for each child involved.
The LTCFC committee worked tirelessly to ensure that every child had a memorable experience. Upon being asked if they would like to participate in such an adventure again, the children responded with an enthusiastic "yes!" Clearly, the outings had made a lasting impression on them.
The LTCFC firmly believes that these kinds of experiences contribute to building the children's confidence in their own abilities. By participating in challenging and exhilarating activities, they are encouraged to step out of their comfort zones and discover new skills and talents within themselves.
With the success of these outings, the LTCFC remains committed to organising further events and initiatives that will continue to enrich the lives of children in the community, advancing their personal development and creating lasting memories.
